Do You Want to Access the Intranet from an
Off-Campus Location?
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| If you would like to access the UAMS Intranet from home or another off-campus location, it has become much easier. Using VPN2, you can access forms, policies, Webchart and other information that is available through the Intranet, but not normally accessible off-campus. Using VPN2, you are not required to have a separate RAS or VPN account. If you have a RAS account or VPN account, you can still access the Intranet as usual, but VPN2 provides another option that may be easier. The term VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. The VPN2.uams.edu website allows UAMS faculty, staff, and students to access the Intranet from off-campus using only their web browser. As an employee, student or, staff member of UAMS access to your Outlook e-mail off-campus is also available using your UAMS ID at http://webmail.uams.edu. The Intranet is a website designed for UAMS staff and students to browse for alerts and announcements, policies, news, phone directories, and much more useful information. By using VPN2, UAMS staff and employess can access the Intranet off-campus. |
