FEB. 16, 2005 | Sunday morning television viewers can catch UAMS physician David Lipschitz on Feb. 20 on “CBS Sunday Morning,” which airs from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. CST on KTHV, Channel 11.

Lipschitz, M.D., Ph.D., director of the UAMS Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging, was interviewed recently for the show by Elizabeth Kaledin, CBS News medical correspondent. Kaledin came to UAMS to talk to Lipschitz for the program, which will focus this weekend on geriatric issues.

Lipschitz, an author, columnist, public speaker and TV personality known to many in Arkansas and across the country as “Dr. David,” uses humor and warmth to convey practical advice about growing older.

The professor and chairman of the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatrics in the UAMS College of Medicine is a recipient of the Arkansas Cultural Enrichment award.

Most recently he was the subject of a front page feature article in the Dallas Morning News in which Dr. Robert Butler, head of the New York-based International Longevity Center said, "Dr. Lipschitz is to aging what Dr. Benjamin Spock was to child-rearing,"
