Dr. Chuck Winter. As you know, Dr. Winter recently retired as a full-time faculty member after 38 years of outstanding service to the College. I’m pleased to report, however, that Dr. Winter has agreed to remain as Associate Dean for Research on a part-time basis and will thus remain available to the research community while continuing to manage many of his key responsibilities. We are so very grateful to Dr. Winter for this accommodation.
Dr. Aubrey Hough. Effective immediately, Dr. Hough has been appointed Associate Dean for Translational Research and Special Projects. Dr. Hough will continue to focus his energies on initiating research programs in biodefense as well as the re-engineering of our clinical research infrastructure. In addition, he has been asked to work with the College of Medicine faculty to significantly increase translational research in the College. He will work with Chairs, Division Leaders, Center/Institute Directors, and key scientists on the UAMS and affiliated campuses in trying to facilitate and forge collaboration in creating a robust translational research enterprise.
Dean E. Albert Reece, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A. |
