In Research Funds

DEC. 21, 2000 | Researchers at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) received $259,000 in research funding during the week of Dec. 18, 2000.

To see a complete list of new research awards, go to Research Notes Online, a publication of the UAMS Office of Research Administration (ORA).

UAMS invites additional philanthropic support for its Medical Research Endowment Fund. Income from this fund provides seed money for scientists at UAMS who are conducting research on the diagnosis, treatment, or cure of diseases and medical conditions.

UAMS also invites donors to create dedicated funds for research in particular areas. These funds, established at a minimum of $50,000, provide a reliable source of supplemental funding to research facilities at UAMS in perpetuity. To learn more about how to create a dedicated research fund at UAMS, contact the Division of Institutional Advancement (501-686-5685).
