UAMS Foundation Fund Board Elects New Officers
The UAMS Foundation Fund Board elected new officers and re-elected several members to additional terms.

DEC. 13, 2001 | The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Foundation Fund Board elected new officers and reelected several members to additional terms last week.

Richard Upton of Heber Springs presided over his final meeting as president of the board on Dec. 6. Chancellor I. Dodd Wilson, M.D., presented Mr. Upton with a plaque in gratitude for his service.

”Your willingness to work for us and help us makes this institution a better place,” Chancellor Wilson told Mr. Upton.

The board elected the following members to additional terms: Jo Ellen Ford of Little Rock, Raymond A. LaCroix of Batesville, Lee Ronnel of Little Rock, Dick Trammel of Rogers, all to second terms; and Jay Gadberry of Little Rock, Kent Ingram of West Memphis, and John Schlereth of Little Rock, all to third terms.

The board also elected new officers: Mr. Schlereth, president; Dan H. Felton of Marianna, to succeed Mr. Schlereth as vice chair; JoAnn Pugh of Portland, Ark., to succeed Lucille Cook of Texarkana, Tex., as secretary; and Mr. Ingram to succeed Bronson Van Wyck of Tuckerman, Ark., as treasurer.
