AUG. 8, 2003 | Walter R. Melius, an electrician supervisor in the Telecommunications Department of the division of Campus Operations, died Sat., Aug. 2 at his home in El Paso, Arkansas. He was 61.
Melius was twice employed by UAMS, the second time in December 1998 in the position he held until his death. He was buried Fri., Aug. 7, in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania.
Survivors include his companion, Deborah Gatlin of El Paso; four daughters, Janet Lucas and Terry Felts of Siler City, North Carolina, Tammy Melius of Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania, and Annette Melius of Tampa, Florida; one son, Clinton J. Melius of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sisters, one brother and 10 grandchildren.
