To: All UAMS Webmasters The deadline is rapidly approaching... June 30, 2004. The standard template will be used for all consumer-accessed pages on the UAMS Internet. Our target date to migrate all Internet sites to the new template design is June 30, 2004. If you have already migrated your website to the new template design, congratulations! We want to thank you for your cooperation in this endeavor. If you have not migrated your website to the new template design, we need to know your plans for your website by June 30. We must have your website noted for our records as planning for conversion prior to June 30, or noted as requesting an extension beyond the June 30 deadline. Websites will be reviewed starting in July and through August. Sites not found in compliance and not on an extension list may be taken down from the UAMS web. Prior to June 30, we will be making an effort to contact webmasters to determine their plans for their websites. After June 30, if your site has not been recorded on a planned conversion or extension list, the website information may be stored in a format approved by the Office of Communications & Marketing and the website may be removed from the UAMS Internet. If you would like to convert your site prior to June 30, please contact Media Services to schedule an initial meeting regarding the conversion via the link below. http://mediaservices.uams.edu/Webform.asp To make arrangements for an extension, please submit information via the form below. http://www.uams.edu/update/absolutenm/anmviewer.asp?a=1556&z=47 Due to the extremely large number of pages and websites that will be migrated, we are putting a hold on new header (or banner) graphics until after the June 30 deadline. Many graphic banners have been created by Media Services for this rollout effort and can be modified as needed to help us meet the deadline. We ask that you hold all custom graphic requests until after June 30. Please advise us if your site should be removed. This may be the case if the information is outdated, not maintained or if there is no longer an individual on staff that is responsible for maintaining the website. Submit information via the form link below. Be sure to include "REMOVE THIS SITE" in the question/comment area of the form. http://www.uams.edu/update/absolutenm/anmviewer.asp?a=1076&z=47 For further information about this conversion, please see our previous message at the link below. http://www.uams.edu/update/absolutenm/anmviewer.asp?a=1549&z=92 For more information, please see the following web page. http://www.uams.edu/template/default.asp Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter. We look forward to working with you as we move toward a more unified website appearance. Thank you, Office of Communications & Marketing |
