The May Blood Drive - Critical

Home
Local blood supplies have fallen below critical levels and the American Red Cross Blood Services hopes the general public will respond to its S.O.S. distress signal with an outpouring of blood donations and stop a predicted Memorial Day blood shortage from occurring. An auto accident victim can require up to 50 units of blood.

The May Blood Drive will be held on Thursday May 27th and Friday May 28th from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm both days.  It will be held in the new Red Cross Bloodmobile parked on Hooper Street by EDII.

All donors will receive a first aid kit and a sports bottle.  Donors will also be in a drawing for 2 season passes to Wild River Country and two food baskets.

Help make this holiday a memorable one by donating blood.  If you have any questions please call UAMS Representative Chuck Byrne at 296-1488.  The UAMS Blood Drive is a joint project between the American Red Cross and the UAMS House of Delegates.
