LITTLE ROCK, AR- Gio Bruno and Sean Harrison of Little Rock, AR and Mike Mottler of Conway, AR recently received an Achievement award from the Society for Technical Communication (STC). The award is part of STC's annual technical communication competitions program, which highlights the best examples of the art and science of technical communication. Bruno, Harrison and Mottler received an Achievement award in the "Magazines" category of STC's International Technical Publications Competition for "UAMS Journal," the four-color magazine published semi-annually by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Each year, STC presents more than 250 awards in 58 categories. The Society for Technical Communication is a professional organization for technical writers, editors, illustrators, managers and educators. It is the largest professional organization in this field, with more than 21,000 members in 144 chapters worldwide.
