LITTLE ROCK – Paintings by S. Sue Harvey, an employee in the College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), will be on display May 3 - June 30 in the second-floor gallery of the UAMS Library.
The Arts of UAMS exhibit, “A Journey of Creativity,” is a collection of paintings. Some of the paintings are of a local or whimsical nature, while others feature interesting scenes from Harvey’s travels to Canada, Maine, Oregon and California. The exhibit is free and open to the public. For library hours, call (501) 686-5980.
Harvey received a Bachelor of Science in Education, with a major in art, from Southwest Missouri University in Springfield. She believes that her strongest work comes from plein air, or outdoor painting. A member of Mid-Southern Watercolorists, Harvey paints in her spare time and sells her work through exhibits, on the Internet (www.sandrasharvey.com), and at various galleries. |
