Jones Eye Institute Patients Raving About Care

Home
The Jones Eye Institute’s clinic scored a solid “A” on the 144 completed patient satisfaction surveys distributed during March. Four areas were surveyed: making an appointment, service at the clinic, visit with my doctor and overall impression of the clinic. The possible answers were always, usually, sometimes and never. Always is the most positive answer in the survey. Approximately 93% of the respondents answered always to the questions in the making an appointment section, 97% answered always in the service at the clinic section, 97% answered always in the visit with my doctor section and 97% answered always in the overall impression section. “We are very pleased with the survey results. They are an obvious indication that our clinic staff and faculty are doing a great job of taking care of our patients’ needs in a way that provides the best care possible while supplying excellent customer service,” John P. Shock, M.D., Executive Vice Chancellor of UAMS, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology and Director of the Jones Eye Institute, said. Many of the patients surveyed also praised certain employees who did an outstanding job, ranging from the Registration and Admissions Specialists at the front desk to the technicians who work with the physicians in the exam rooms to the faculty themselves. One patient wrote, “We are very fortunate to have such a clinic here in Little Rock. Thank you!” For more information about the patient satisfaction surveys, visit the Jones Eye Institute website at www.uams.edu/jei.
