Many Americans have experienced psychological trauma following the attacks. Mental health professionals are dealing with individual trauma and national or group trauma. Teachers and parents are struggling to reassure children. Communities all over the nation are uniting to help those suffering most from the attacks.

Teresa Kramer, Ph.D., will discuss the psychological effects of these events. Dr. Kramer is a Research Career Awardee of the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Mental Health. She recently presented a community education program on “Violence and its Impact” via long-distance television hook-ups to communities around Arkansas.
