WHO: Adolph H. “Buddy” Giesecke, Jr., M.D. WHAT: History of the Medical Sciences Lecture Series WHEN: Wednesday, March 31, 2004, 4 p.m. WHERE: University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences LITTLE ROCK – An anesthesiologist who treated President John F. Kennedy and Governor John B. Connally of Texas after the assassination of Kennedy and shooting of Connally in 1963 will describe that day in a guest lecture at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Wednesday, March 31, at 4 p.m. He will speak in John E. Pauly Auditorium in the UAMS College of Public Health, 4301 W. Markham St. Giesecke was professor and chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas from 1981 to 1992. He has been an attending anesthesiologist at Parkland Memorial Hospital, where the president and governor were treated, since 1963. Giesecke will offer details of that day, his opinion on the number of shots fired and whether there was a second gunman, and other issues related to the assassination.
