You and all the other 9,500 employees of UAMS recently
received a campaign packet via campus mail concerning the needs
of the United Way agencies in Pulaski County.
Many UAMS employees dedicate volunteer time to United Way
agencies and participate on its Review Panels. Although that
time is priceless, it is not enough; there are community needs
that can only be met with dollars. Contributions must be a
necessary part of our support for the United Way.
The brochure in the packet describes the good work of local
United Way agencies. You may support an agency of special
interest to you by designating your contribution to that
organization. Write-in the name of that agency on the BLUE
side of the pledge card. Undesignated gifts are used
according to established priorities. Many consider this the Best
Way To Give – the Best Way To Care.
Please return the pledge card by campus mail
before the end of December to:
UAMS Community Campaign, #716.
As Coordinator of the annual UAMS Community Campaigns since
1997, I have seen the giving spirit of UAMS employees toward the
United Way grow to a total of more than a quarter-million
dollars during that period. This is my last campaign because I’m
approaching retirement in December after 15 years service on the
UAMS team. I hope this request will produce the best-ever
response for our contributions to area organizations that
support those who need our help the most.
Your decision to participate in the UAMS Community Campaign
is a great way to show your support of and involvement in our
community. Thank you for considering this request.
Mike H. Mottler
UAMS Community Campaign Coordinator
NOTE: Most UAMS employees select convenient payroll deduction
as the best way to fulfill a pledge. Payroll deductions begin in
January, 2005 and continue through that calendar year.
