UAMS
Kids First in Warren celebrated its
tenth anniversary with an “All Class
Reunion” with games and refreshments
Aug. 7 for all present and former Kids
First children and their families.
Since opening in 1993, UAMS Kids First in
Warren
has helped 500 children, ages six months
to three years, with fragile medical
conditions. It is part of a statewide
network of 11 centers operated by the
University
of
Arkansas
for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
The
UAMS Kids First centers provide
intensive early learning experiences along
with health care. Teams of specialists in
medicine, early childhood development,
social work, nutrition, and therapeutic
services work to meet the needs of the
children and their families. A primary
care doctor’s referral is necessary for
enrollment in Kids First.
The
staff of Kids First in
Warren
includes Director Kelly Rowell, Susan
Creswell, Patricia Ellis, Renell Ivy, Jane
Weier, Mandy Johnson, Nancy Nicholson,
Thelma Strong, Becky Wilson, Carolyn
Lambert, and Gail Williams. For more
