UAMS Launches Patient E-mail Greetings
MAY 12, 2003 | Want to stay
in touch when someone important is a
patient at UAMS? No need for loved ones to
lug a laptop to the hospital …
Send an e-mail message to a friend or
family member in the hospital at UAMS –
and we’ll hand-deliver your note to the
patient’s bedside!
The new UAMS Patient E-mail Greetings are
a free service. You may use a simple
online form to submit messages, or
just send a message from your own e-mail
account to
patient@uams.edu.
If you write from your own e-mail account,
you must include all of the
following information in your e-mail to
ensure proper delivery:
Patient’s Name:
Patient’s Gender:
Patient’s Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYY):
Room Number (if known):
Your Name (required):
Street Address:
City:
State:
Zip:
Your day time phone number:
Your E-mail address (required):
Greeting:
E-mails received before 2:00 p.m. during
the business week will be printed on
special stationery and delivered to the
patient's room that afternoon by UAMS
personnel. E-mails received after 2:00
p.m. will be delivered the next business
day. E-mails received on the weekend or
on a holiday will be delivered on the
following business day.
Remember, UAMS personnel
will view and print your greetings, so
please do not send confidential or
inappropriate messages. We cannot deliver
e-mail attachments. |
