AARP Driver Safety classes helps older
adults develop safe, defensive driving techniques, while also
refining their existing driving skills. Those who attend will
refresh their memories of the basic rules of the road, will
learn how to handle bad road conditions and traffic hazards,
and will find out how the aging process and medications affect
driving. The class does not include a test.
All classes will be held on the first floor
of the hospital at UAMS. Enter the hospital from the visitors
level of the Hospital Parking Deck at 4301 W. Markham St. (See
map.)
Daytime classes will be held from 9 a.m. - 1
p.m. Tues. and Wed. on the following dates:
Jan. 21 (Board Room) and Jan. 22 (Conference Room A)
Feb. 18 (Board Room) and Feb. 19 (Conference Room A)
March 18 (Board Room) and
March 19 (Conference Room A)
April 15 - 16 (Conference Room B-2)
May 20 - 21 (Conference Room B-2)
June 17 - 18 (Conference Room B-2)
July 15 - 16 (Conference Room B-2)
Evening classes will be held
from 6 - 10 p.m. on the following dates:
Jan. 27 - 28 (Conference Room B-2)
April 28 - 29 (Conference Room B-2)
