14, 2002 | Noise and hearing loss will be the topic of
"Here's To Your Health" radio broadcasts the week of
Nov. 18-22.
Tom Rimmer, Sc.D., and John
Dornhoffer, M.D., will be guests on the program.
Dr. Rimmer, an assistant
professor of environmental and occupational health in the UAMS
College of Public Health, has spent 30 years studying noise
and its effects on hearing.
Dr. Dornhoffer is director of
the Division of Otology in the Department of Otolaryngology of
the UAMS College of Medicine. He is also a clinical
neurotologist who performs ear surgery, including cochlear
implants for patients with total hearing loss.
