8, 2001 | The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS)
recently celebrated a grant for advanced education in geriatric
nursing.
The College of Nursing will use the grant from the John
A. Hartford Foundation to create the Hartford Center of
Geriatric Nursing Excellence. The center will design
innovative interdisciplinary programs in nursing education,
practice, and research that promote functional independence in
the elderly. (See more information about plans for the
