Dawn Scott Will Lead Women’s Forum on Skin Care, Trust Benefits

AUG. 9, 2001 | Dawn Scott of KTHV-TV will moderate when experts will discuss skin care and financial planning for older women in a public seminar Thurs., Sept. 13, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

Dawn Scott from KTHV, Channel 11.The program, "Maturing Gracefully," will be 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in Education Building III (see map) on the UAMS campus. The forum will be free and open to the public. To make reservations, call 501-526-6190 and leave a message or e-mail seminars@uams.edu.

The Friends of the Villa Marre will serve a light lunch between presentations.

Sandra M. Johnson, M.D., assistant professor of dermatology at UAMS, will present "Skin Care: Now and in The Future." Participants will learn about caring for different skin types; how to keep skin looking young and reverse damage; skin care products; chemical peels; leg vein treatments; and the role that dermatologists can play in caring for skin.

Betty Dalrymple, a senior vice president and locations manager for Arvest Asset Management, will present "Trust Benefits As We Mature.".She will discuss common estate plans, the reasons and best times to do estate planning, the importance of power of attorney, living wills, the probate process, pitfalls of joint tenancy, living trusts, and estate taxes.

Following their presentations, the speakers will answer questions.
Door prizes, courtesy of Park Plaza Mall, will be given away.

"Maturing Gracefully" is an encore presentation in the UAMS-Arvest Women’s Forum, a series of public seminars. Arvest Central Bank is the corporate sponsor of the forum. The UAMS Women’s Health Care Initiative coordinated the programs.
