JAN.
18, 2002 | The Bank of America Foundation recently
presented a contribution of $22,500 to Arkansas CARES,
a program for women who have substance abuse problems
and their children.
Donald J. Cook, city president with Bank of
America, presented the check to Cindy Crone, R.N.,
A.P.N., executive director of Arkansas CARES,
Jan. 16.
Arkansas
CARES, the Arkansas
Center for Addictions Research, Education and
Services, provides a home and a variety of treatment
services for women who are pregnant or have young
children and who are struggling with drug addiction.
It is a program of the Department of Psychiatry in the
College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for
Medical Sciences (UAMS).
”Bank
of America is pleased to support Arkansas CARES. The
new recreational playground will provide a fun and
stimulating environment where mothers and their young
children can interact,” Cook said.
