Dr. Robert Fox is a Professor of Adult and Higher Education
in the Kellogg Research Center for Continuing Professional Education at the University of
Oklahoma. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 articles, book chapters,
papers, and invited presentations to national and international organizations.
Winner of several national and international awards for his work in continuing education,
he has also served as Editor of the Journal of Continuing Education in the Health
Professions for two terms.
Co-author of The Physician as Learner, he is working on a
new book tentatively titled, The Continuing Professional Development of
Physicians: Integrating Theory and Practice. Named the Rosenstadt Visiting Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto
in 1996 and again in 2000, he continues his research on the
process of change in professional performance, motivation, and learning from clinical
experience.
