Linda Worley, MD, Medical Director, UAMS Student
Wellness Program & UAMS College of Medicine Faculty Wellness Program
Linda L.M. Worley, MD, is a Professor of Psychiatry in
the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences
in Little Rock. She directs the UAMS Student Wellness Program and of the
College of Medicine Faculty Wellness Program working with a talented team of
mental health providers to provide prevention education and counseling
services. Dr. Worley is passionate about removing barriers for seeking help
and is often heard saying, "Life is far to short to suffer needlessly. Those
who seek help are the courageous healthy ones."
She worked with colleagues in Arkansas to improve the
medical licensure questions to make it confidential for physicians in
Arkansas to seek help early, long before any signs of impairment.

Dr. Worley is committed to teaching health care
providers how to achieve life happiness. She is a sought after educator who
delivers thought provoking presentations, workshops and retreats about
health, wellbeing and life balance. She serves as a visiting faculty member
in the Vanderbilt Center for Professional Health, Distressed Physician's
Course. Dr. Worley tied for the top vote in Psychiatry in the 2008 Arkansas
Times Best Doctor list. She also received the 2008 Robert F. Shannon Award
for Outstanding Contributions to Psychiatric Education in Arkansas and the
2008 UAMS Women's Faculty Development Caucus Outstanding Woman Faculty
Award, 'For Excellence in Leadership, Mentoring, Scholarship and
Professional Achievement."
