To those ends, in 1993, the Center for Skull Base Surgery was instituted under the direction of Ossama Al-Mefty, M.D., Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery, and James Y. Suen, M.D., Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology. Both surgeons are world-renowned for their expertise in skull base surgery and the treatment of head and neck tumors respectively. |
