UAMS Outpatient Fitness
We have outpatient therapy and fitness centers in two locations on the UAMS campus. Members may use our facilities to continue prescribed outpatient therapy or to improve their overall physical fitness.
The Ottenheimer Fitness Center
The Ottenheimer Therapy and Fitness Center is designed specifically for people 50 years of age and older. Members have access to Keiser weight machines, cardiovascular equipment, educational programs, and special exercise classes, such as yoga and Tai Chi.
Members have the option to receive a computerized fitness analysis to determine their risk for developing certain diseases based on lifestyle and family history. Measurements are taken for heart rate, blood pressure, body fat, arm and leg strength, and flexibility. This analysis is $30.
In addition to using the Ottenheimer facilities, members may pay an additional $5 per month to use the therapy pool at the Jackson T. Stephens Spine and Neurosciences Institute (see information below).
