Breast Biopsy with Dr. Fincher We believe the greatest asset of any institution of higher learning is the quality of its faculty.  The Department of Radiology is staffed with College of Medicine faculty members who are board-certified in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine.  Many hold a Certificate of Added Qualification in their subspecialty area.  Members of our faculty have achieved national and international recognition for teaching, biomedical research, and clinical excellence.

The faculty of the Department of Radiology numbers 40; 36 are physicians and 4 are PhDs.  Clinical and teaching activities are organized into subspecialty areas.  Our outstanding faculty are organized into 7 academic divisions:  Ultrasound with Dr. Terry

  • Diagnostic Radiology
  • Imaging
  • MRI
  • Neuroradiology
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Pediatric Radiology
  • Vascular/Interventional Radiology

We host an average of 5 fellows in the department each year, and we limit the number of fellows in order to assure that the residents’ learning experience is not adversely affected.  Because they are knowledgeable and approachable, the fellows are valuable resources for the residents.
