PEDRAP is a 5-year program providing increased training in pediatric radiology for the candidate with an interest in a career as a pediatric radiologist. The PEDRAP resident will be eligible for American Board of Radiology certification (see http://www.theabr.org/PED_PEDRAP.htm).
The PEDRAP Pathway differs from diagnostic radiology in that:
1. Two years of pediatric-oriented radiology training are required
2. The core adult-oriented radiology training is 2 years
For a current medical school graduate, this is a categorical program (includes clinical year). An advanced candidate who has completed one year of clinical training may enter at the PGY2 level. On-call responsibility is on parity with diagnostic radiology residents. |
