The Division of Pediatric Radiology is based at Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH), a 280-bed tertiary care regional referral center and teaching hospital with an emphasis on research. Located five minutes from the UAMS Medical Center, ACH is the only pediatric medical center in the state and the 6th largest in the country. The radiology facilities at ACH are state-of-the-art. The faculty includes 11 board-certified radiologists, and all who are eligible hold a CAQ in Pediatric Radiology.
The division offers a one-year fellowship that is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). This clinically-oriented program provides training in all aspects of pediatric imaging, including plain films, digital fluoroscopy, neonatal radiology (includes ECMO), neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, interventional procedures, angiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI (including MR angiography and spectroscopy), and bone densitometry. Variable rotations are available in all imaging areas, depending on the fellow's interest. Experiences in MR and CT include head, spine, and body imaging. There is also an opportunity for research.
