Department of Radiology

Faculty in the Department of Radiology have expertise in all of the subspeciality areas of Radiology, including pediatric radiology, neuroradiology, vascular special procedures, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. Diagnostic services are provided both at University Hospital and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Radiology oncology services are offered through Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute.

SPECIAL SERVICES

The Department’s outpatient clinic offers mammography and most routine diagnostic radiographic procedures. The Special Procedures Section performs virtually every type of radiologic special procedure, including balloon and laser assisted angioplasty, and filter placement. Magnetic resonance imaging and OB/GYN ultrasound services are performed through the department’s Imaging Section.
