The CAR faculty have received a number of national and international awards for their research.  These awards include the Joseph Cochin Young Investigator Award from the College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD), the Young Psychopharmacologist Award from the Division of Psychopharmacology and Substance Abuse of the American Psychological Association, a National Institutes of Health Merit Award from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the College on Problems of Drug Dependence Travel Award. 

Additionally, our faculty have held highly regarded positions within their field.  These include president of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence; board member of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence; two presidents of Division 28 of the American Psychological Association; and editor of the journal, Experimental and Clinical Psychopharmacology.
