The Department is comprised of two major divisions: Pharmacology and
Toxicology; with separate graduate training programs in each division leading
Ph.D. degrees in Pharmacology or Interdisciplinary Toxicology.
A wide range of research and educational opportunities exist. As
a graduate student, you can train in any number of specialty areas
of pharmacology and toxicology including neuroscience, behavior,
cardiovascular and renal, immunology, molecular biology, pharmacokinetics,
therapeutics, metabolism and carcinogenesis. All of our students
are currently receiving a $24,000 yearly stipend and we pay tuition!
"The faculty are committed to the development of a strong research base,
since basic research training is the key to providing excellence in graduate
education. The proof of this commitment is evidenced by the success of our
graduates."
