Pediatric psychology examines how
a wide range of developmental, medical, and psychological issues impact
children. Pediatric psychology provides psychological and neuropsychological
assessments for numerous developmental, learning, and neurodevelopmental
problems. They also help children and their families deal with behavioral
and psychological issues related to chronic diseases and other medical
problems. The Section of Pediatric Psychology offers assistance to children
who need grief counseling through its Medical Crisis and Loss Clinic.
Additionally, staff members provide consultation services to other pediatric
sub-specialties and provide outreach services involving parenting.
