The mission of Nephrology is to care for children with renal disease and
improve the care of children and adolescents with hypertension.
Nephrology is the only center in Arkansas and the region, which includes
portions of Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma, to offer full service procedures
for children with acute and chronic renal failure. Half day clinics
are offered several times a week to treat patients who have any type of
kidney disorder or hypertension, are on dialysis, or are candidates for or
have had kidney transplants. Dialysis and renal transplants are
performed at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
