The purpose of the Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition section at UAMS is to promote disease prevention and apply advanced medical treatment when necessary through patient education, care, and research.

Our goals include:

  • Ensuring that all children have access to treatment and preventive tools to reduce the impact of gastrointestinal disease in our population

  • Applying the most advanced treatment and education technologies to clinical practice

  • Pursuing clinical and bench research in our field to promote understanding and reduce the future burden of gastrointestinal disease in children
