The purpose of the Pediatric
Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition section at UAMS is to promote disease
prevention and apply advanced medical treatment when necessary through
patient education, care, and research.
Our goals include:

Ensuring that all children have
access to treatment and preventive tools to reduce the impact of
gastrointestinal disease in our population

Applying the most advanced
treatment and education technologies to clinical practice

Pursuing clinical and bench
research in our field to promote understanding and reduce the future
burden of gastrointestinal disease in children
Almost daily clinics are offered
to treat all forms of gastrointestinal, nutritional, and liver disorders.
