The Children at Risk Section consists of the Team for Children at Risk
located in the Arkansas Children's House, and the Family Treatment Program
located in the South Campus Building. Children who have been sexually abused
or who are suspected of having been sexually abused are referred to the
Arkansas Children's House, a caring environment on the campus of Arkansas
Children's Hospital (ACH). In partnership with ACH, the Team for Children at
Risk provides multidisciplinary assistance to those children in need.
Services include consultations, crisis intervention, medical evaluations,
and appropriate referrals. The Family Treatment Program provides
comprehensive psychological treatment of children and families who are
victims of sexual abuse and other forms of maltreatment. Collaboration with
primary physicians, law enforcement agencies, Arkansas Department of Human
Services, and the court system is an important part of the care at both
sites.
