Injections and Port Care
The following instruction is provided by an

Sub-Q Injections
Medicines are often given by Sub-Q injection (shot). A
Sub-Q injection is a shot given through the skin. This class will teach you
the correct way to give a Sub-Q shot.
Port Care
Implantable ports are devices that allow you to get IV
treatments or medicine more easily. It is called "implantable" because it is
put under the skin. This class will teach you the correct way to flush
your implantable port.
Lovenox
Lovenox is a medicine given as a sub-Q injection (shot). It is
used after some procedures or surgery to prevent your body from forming
blood clots in your veins. This class will teach you the correct way to give
a Lovenox shot.
