About the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute

The Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute (the Cancer Institute) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is the state’s only comprehensive cancerfacility.  Since opening in 1989, driven by pioneers in research, the Cancer Institute has quickly gained national and international recognition as a center of excellence for cancer research, education, and treatment.  The Cancer Institute provides cancer diagnosis and treatment (including one of the largest stem cell transplant programs in the country), outpatient clinics and chemotherapy treatment, which is all driven by pioneering cancer research.  More than 8,900 patients a month are seen at the Cancer Institute, representing all 50 states and 42 countries.

The Cancer Institute Auxiliary

The Cancer Institute Auxiliary, organized in 1989, provides information, service, compassion and hope to those whose lives are touched by cancer.  All proceeds from the sale of the Partners Cards will be used to fund projects that benefit cancer patients.
