What is the Partners Community Advisory Committee?
The Partners Community Advisory Committee (formerly known as the
Consumer Committee) is an 18 member group consisting of individuals with developmental
and other types of disabilities, family member and representatives of government entities/local agencies.
What is the Committee's Purpose?
The Community Advisory Committee is the primary advising and guiding body for Partners for Inclusive Communities. The purpose is to analyze, advise and make recommendations that are reflected in Partners' policies and programs based on its mission.
What are the responsibilities of a Committee member?
Members bring different perspectives, ideas and views to the committee. Members are asked to attend quarterly meetings, participate as Community
Advisory Committee representatives at local and regional
events, actively participate on one of the subcommittees, participate in discussions and provide input at
the quarterly meetings regarding Partners' activities and programs. Members also share resources, ideas, and network with each other.
