Welcome to the Parking Operations Website at the UAMS Medical Center. We are dedicated in providing daily parking operation services to our patients, visitors, employees and departments. In addition to daily parking operations, parking oversees enforcement, parking facility maintenance, and management of the UAMS shuttle service.

Overbooking Standards

In the Parking Industry it is common business practice to overbook parking areas. This practice helps to maximize the number of physical spaces on campus. The overbooking is normally offset by employees on vacation or working on various shifts. Parking Operations' goal is that the overfilling of lots be kept to a minimum, however, occasionally lots will overfill. In the event the lot is full please contact Parking Operations (526-7275) for an alternate parking location.

Parking Operations constantly monitors overbooking rates and adjusts as necessary.

Summer Parking Available - click
UAMS Parking Operations has space available for temporary parking at the Residence Hall. The temporary space is available to both employees and students on Lot 14 and Lot 19.

Immediate Employee and Student Parking - click
Take advantage of available parking at Lot 18 located on 7th street on the south side of the VA and east of the Distribution Center.

Employees that are not on campus as a patient
should park in designated employee parking areas only. - click
This process supports our mission of creating comfort, hope, and healing for patients and families by assuring sufficient valued patient and visitor parking supply. Employees and students, if you are in a UAMS visitor area as a patient, please don't forget to call 526-PARK (526-7275) or click here to register your vehicle.
This will assure that you or a family member driving a vehicle registered in an employees name do not receive a parking citation.

Employees and Students should NOT park on side streets off campus.
Employees and students should park only in designated areas served by the UAMS Shuttle, including War Memorial Stadium. The main shuttle operates from 4:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday. An express shuttle operates from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

UAMS Parking has a variety of alternative transportation options intended to make your commute to and from UAMS easier. These options include carpooling, vanpooling, discount CAT passes, along with parking for bicycles and mopeds.

Did you Know?

Deck evening and weekend parking permits are available for Parking 2 (North Parking Deck). This gives access to the employee area of deck after 1:30 p.m. weekdays and 24 hours weekends and holidays. There is no waiting list!! Apply now!

Parking 1 - South Parking Deck
The series of photos above shows the completed South Parking Deck which opened January, 2009.
This expansion added another 1000 parking spots to the campus community. If you would like to apply for a spot on the East Deck, North Deck, or any of our other lots, please look under the Applications & Forms section.
