Surgery residency program
offered by the UAMS Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Residency Program Application
Information
The UAMS Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is participating in the ERAS
(Electronic Residency Application Service) with the Association of American
Medical Colleges. Our program will use ERAS exclusively for all candidates
applying for our PGY-1 positions. We will accept and use the following:
ERAS Common Application Form with photograph and personal statement
Dean's Letter and official
transcript
USMLE/NBME transcripts, ECFMG
Status Report for international applicants
Four Professional Letters of
Recommendation
All documents will be transmitted via the electronic ERAS Post Office from the
Medical Schools. No exceptions will be made to this application process.

For those who are interested in an Arkansas orthopaedic elective, we offer a
four-week clinical internship as a fourth-year senior elective. The
arrangements
for your rotation need to be coordinated through the Dean of Student Affairs.
The campus contact for this clerkship is the Student Affairs Office at
(501)686-5348.
The Student Affairs Office will assist you with your visiting student
application
and notify you of any requirements prior to your rotation at the University of
Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
