     UAMS Medical Center employs some of the nation's most distinguished medical professionals. Robert Lumsden II, MD, FACS, Director of the Center for Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, is no exception. A faculty member of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Dr. Lumsden is fellowship trained in Hand Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Association of Hand Surgeons. He is active in research, education and patient care. Dr. Lumsden employs an interdisciplinary approach, working closely with UAMS Medical Center's plastic surgeons, occupational therapists and other specialists and is referred complex problems from all over Arkansas and neighboring States.
