ORSP Recommends that Draft Proposals be entered into ARIA 7 business days prior to the published funding agency deadline. The Final version of the grant proposal is due for submission 2 business days before the deadline. A grant application is considered Final when it has been reviewed and approved through electronic signatures by the Principal Investigator’s (PI's) sub-department, department and college, and ORSP with all requested corrections made. This process begins when the PI signs-off electronically for institutional review.
Draft grant applications should be received by ORSP at least 7 business days prior to the deadline. Final grant applications must be received by ORSP 48 hours (2 business days) before the published application deadline.

The goal of ORSP review is to ensure adherence with application guidelines and federal, state, funding agency, and campus guidelines.
ORSP grants administrators need time to provide a thorough review of each application.
Investigators need time to correct applications based on ORSP review. ORSP workflow efficiency and effectiveness is reduced when proposals are not submitted in a timely fashion.
