Certified Research Specialist Program (CRS)

The CRS Program provides extended training in key areas for all individuals involved in research at UAMS and its affiliates. Certified Research Specialists complete 26 hours of coursework (20 hours of required courses and 6 hours of electives). They then pass the comprehensive CRS Proficiency Exam.

The CRS Awards Ceremony is held each December to recognize new Certified Research Specialists and to distribute their formal certificates. The Bonnie Hope Wallace Award for Excellence in Human Subject Research is also presented to a Certified Research Specialist at the ceremony.
