Multiple Project Assurance (MRA):
Research Involving Human Subjects

An assurance of compliance, or simply "assurance", is an official document that confirms and defines particular relationships between federal agencies and individual institutions. In this case, the MPA details how UAMS intends to fulfill its commitment to the protection of human subjects as required by the federal Department of Health and Human Services.

Some of the topics covered in-depth are the role/responsibilities of the IRB, the research investigators, the institution (and affiliated institutions), and the UAMS Office of Research Administration.

Please note that the UAMS IRB not only serves UAMS, but also the Arkansas Children's Hospital Research Institute (ACHRI), the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH), the Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute (CARTI), the Arkansas State Hospital, and the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System.
