Temporary Staffing

Application Process

U-Temps Temporary Staffing accepts applications and resumes from individuals with a wide range of skills, education, and experiences. You may apply at either the U-Temps office, located in the Annex Building on campus or at our Recruitment Office, located on the corner of W. Markham and Walnut. When you apply with UAMS, your application will be reviewed and we will try to match your skills and experience with employment opportunities that are currently available. You must complete a University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Application for employment. We do not accept State of Arkansas Employment Forms.

You may apply for U-Temps and a permanent position on the same form, so there is no need to complete more than one application.

After you apply with UAMS, we will call you if we need additional information or would like to schedule an interview for a possible job assignment. We will keep your application active for ninety days.

General Information

U-Temps is an in-house temporary service designed to serve the temporary employment needs of UAMS. U-Temps employees are a part of a pool to be called upon on an "as needed" basis. Assignment lengths may vary from a day to several months at a time. A variety of positions are available with U-Temps. Work schedules and pay rates will vary from assignment to assignment. We are currently building a pool of office professionals to assist the faculty and staff of UAMS in areas such as:

  • Administrative Support
  • Data Entry
  • Child Care/Caregivers
  • Maintenance
  • Receptionist
  • Medical Billing
  • Medical Transcriptionist
  • Accounting Techs
  • The list goes on………
