Change in Withholding Requirements for Non-Resident Aliens

 

If you are considered a Non-Resident Alien for Tax Purposes and have not completed a new W-4 denoting this status, you need to do so immediately in order to comply with changes in Internal Revenue Service regulations.  For questions about whether or not you are considered a Non-Resident Alien for Tax Purposes please contact Tiffany Edwards or Hazel Rosson in the Immigration Section in the office of Human Resources at 686-7073/686-5074 or consult the Internal Revenue Service Publication 515 at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p515.pdf 

 

Failure to submit a new W-4 form may result in the over withholding of federal tax deductions in 2008.
