Service
Ms. Mabry assists
faculty across campus with design and development of web-based instruction
and instructional materials, educational technology, and in implementation
of web-based instructional projects. She also provides technical assistance
and instruction in the use of WebCT and web-based learning tools. She serves
on the
Teaching and Technology and
the
Patient Education Advisory Committees. She also serves on the GME Duty Hours Subcommittee.
She is a former member of the Board of Directors for the
Arkansas Society for
Technology in Education (ARKSTE), the state affiliate of the
International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). Ms. Mabry
coordinates the UAMS Teaching Scholars Teaching Health Professions Exhibits
emphasizing educational research and teaching with technology. UAMS faculty
have the opportunity to showcase educational research activities and
technology integration into teaching practices in these exhibits.
Ms. Mabry is
interested in web-based learning theory, instructional design, and using
technology tools to facilitate learning. Ms. Mabry recently completed a
process analysis for the management of the Graduate Medical Education
Web-based courses. She also developed and implemented a plan to increase
efficiency and communication based on the findings from the analysis.
