Background and Services

Graduated from University of Bucharest in Romania, with a Bachelor in Physics with emphasis in Biophysics and received a MSE with emphasis in Physics from Harding University.

Cristina was a teacher before coming to the US. Working toward her master's degree, she was offered the opportunity to work for the Biology Department at Harding University in creating digital materials used in online learning environments and for enhancing the traditional on campus classes.

After graduating, she continued her work with BioSERVE, a company that specialized in producing digital textbooks and learning modules for math and science courses. She was the Instruction Coordinator and her responsibilities included developing computer graphics, animations, and coordinating the production processes. She worked with the users (teachers and students) in planning, creating, and assessing the results of the educational process. Some of the software she used included: Adobe Photoshop (to enhance the quality of bitmap images), Adobe Illustrator (to produce vector images), Adobe Flash (to create animations provided with synchronized explanatory narration and as a platform for the integration and presentation of course material), and Adobe Captivate (to produce learning modules used in conjunction with virtual learning environments).

She also worked with the eLearning department at Harding University providing support for faculty and students by training new users for different Learning Management Systems, troubleshooting, and testing the systems. She is familiar with Blackboard, Moodle, and Canvas.

Since 2008 she teaches math and science classes for ASU-Beebe. She developed curriculum materials and numerous multimedia resources used in conjunction with Blackboard.

Cristina is currently an eLearning instructor in the Office of Educational Development providing instructional design and learning technology support for the faculty and staff for Blackboard and for other eLearning tools.
