Student Services - Peer Tutoring Program
Learning Skills Consultations | Peer Tutoring Program

What is Peer Tutoring?
Peer Tutoring is a small program at UAMS that identifies historically known difficult courses for students and finds 2-3 tutors per course that can help the current students. The program is staffed by students who have completed and are recommended by course instructors.
Where does the tutoring take place?
Tutoring can be face-to-face or online.
When would tutoring be most helpful?
Peer tutoring may be especially helpful at the begining of the semester when help is needed to bridge gaps between pre-professional and UAMS course or throughout the semester when exam grades fall below a C.
How can I enroll in this program?
Due to the limited number of tutors, a referral from the course instructor is needed.
How much does it cost?
There is no charge to students for peer tutoring.
