Evaluation Services

Educational evaluation is concerned with the determination of the effectiveness and the value of a defined product, educational method, or educational program. OED faculty provide individual consultation and small group instruction to UAMS faculty on various methods of educational evaluation. OED faculty work collaboratively with other UAMS faculty in defining desired outcomes, critical examination of program goals and objectives, review of curricular materials, and the determination of adequate methods for evaluation. In addition, OED faculty provide technical support with the preparation of evaluation plans for grant proposals and the provision of evaluation services for funded grant programs. Technical support is also provided for the development of tools for data collection, such as surveys, questionnaires, interviews, and tests. Both quantitative and qualitative data analysis are provided.
